Week 1 Lineup Decision Review

So, how did I do on my lineup decisions?

NFL.com PPR+1/2PPA league.

QB J.J. McCarthy (27.22) vs. Justin Fields (37.52) vs. Jordan Love (21.42) vs. Trevor Lawrence (14.32). I sat Fields and dropped McCarthy for Lawrence. So, basically, I picked the worst option. I'll drop Lawrence this week and pick up a tight end because Kittle will be out for a few weeks.

WR Jaylen Waddle (7.00) vs. George Pickens (6.00). And I sat Matthew Golden (3.00). Not dropping any of these three, but Waddle isn't looking promising right now.

Flex Isiah Pacheco (7.30) vs. TreVeyon Henderson (13.60) vs. Austin Ekeler (11.70) vs. George Pickens (6.00). I almost picked the worst option here, as well. Not dropping any of these guys unless Ekeler's injury takes him out of the lineup.

My opponent decided not to grab a DST this week because he decided it was more valuable to see which of his bench players are worth keeping. It turned out that there were seven DSTs he could have picked that would have won him the week, although it's unclear that he would have picked the right one. I will take the 132.82-124.46 win, but I wasn't in the top half scorers in this league; so that should make me a little uncomfortable.

QB J.J. McCarthy (23.22). I did not get Drake Maye (16.78), another manager sniped him and didn't start him; so I stayed with McCarthy which wasn't looking great in the 3rd Quarter, but turned out just fine.

Flex Tetairoa McMillan (11.80) vs. Ricky Pearsall (14.80) vs. George Pickens (6.00) vs. RJ Harvey (7.90).  Did okay here. Pearsall was a little better.

TE Tyler Warren (14.90) vs. Waivers. Happy with the way Warren worked out. Kincaid (14.80) and Henry (10.60) had good weeks, but Warren looks like a keeper.

My opponent just had a horrible week, with Burrow (8.82), Chase (4.60), AJ Brown (1.80), Mark Andrews (1.50), and Terry McLaurin (4.70) all turning in dud performances. I cruised to a 129.72-78.82 win.

WR Ricky Pearsall (12.80) vs. George Pickens (4.50). This was the wrong call, but of course I didn't know Kittle and Jennings would leave this game early.

This team basically performed poorly. Emeka Egbuka (21.60) and Jacory Croskey-Merritt (14.20) were sitting on the bench; so the only way I could have won this match would have been by sitting Chase (3.60), Pickens (4.50), and Jonathan Taylor (11.30) for Pearsall, Egbuka, and Croskey-Merritt. Blowout loss: 82.32-109.46.
